This journey unveils the amazing diversity of Peru, a multi-faceted country distinguished by its magnificent ecological variances and complex cultural assortment. Along this itinerary, you will cross surprisingly distinctive natural environments, from the arid coast, to the high peaks of the Andes and lush Amazon rainforest, while appreciating their unique cultural expressions and understanding their integration into the modern societal make-up of Peru.

This journey will begin and end in Lima, the bustling coastal capital and thriving economic force of Peru, where you will glimpse the reminiscences of a time when it was the most important city of South America, the City of Kings, and where you will sense the dominant “Criolla” culture. You will also explore the rarely visited Palominos Islands, where you will be able to swim with sea lions. Your discovery of Lima, in the expert company of your guide, will be enhanced by the many choices this up-and-coming sybaritic capital has to offer, from gourmet dining to exclusive shopping.

From Lima, you will fly to Cuzco where you will immerse yourself in the « Quechua » heart of the Andes Mountains, home to a mystical ancient empire whose features are still coloring the rhythm of today’s life, and you will experience the chromatic magic of a region, whose natural beauty is stunning, its history fascinating, and its inhabitants so welcoming.

During your exploration of Cuzco and the Sacred Valley, with the expert company of your local guide, you will not only follow the footsteps of the Incas by strolling through the streets of their capital and visiting their most impressive archeological complexes but you will also gain insight into their beliefs, customs, and knowledge. Your stay in Cuzco and in the Sacred Valley will be enhanced by the many modern conveniences available.

From Cuzco, you will fly back to Lima in order to catch your next flight connection to Iquitos, where the lush immensity of the Amazon forest awaits you. In Iquitos, you will be transferred to your lodge*, the departing point for your scheduled excursions. Over the next couple of days, with the expertise of your local guide, you will experience the stunning beauty and astonishing biodiversity of the local fauna and flora, as well as encounter indigenous people with whom you will personally interact. Your lodge stay will also provide the opportunity to relax and unwind by dipping in the pool or simply by soaking in the serene atmosphere around you.

*You can choose to discover the Amazon by electing our Aqua cruise option (4 nights / 3 days, only departs on Saturdays). Embark aboard the luxurious vessel Aqua to cruise the most famous river in the world, the Amazon. Each day will bring amazing new wonders, as you set out with local guides, in a fleet of three launches, to explore the small inlets and various winding river systems that make up the flooded forest in the Pacaya Samiria Reserve.

From Iquitos, you will fly back to Lima for a last impression of the capital, leaving for your international destination the following day.
